About Jovens Gênios
Jovens Gênios is a Brazilian edtech company that delivers personalized digital learning platforms to public and private schools. Leveraging artificial intelligence and gamification, it impacts over 1 million students with a clear value proposition: to personalize each student's learning journey, give educators more autonomy and time, and keep families closely connected to their children's progress.
The Challenge
The database in use, Neo4j, was expected to serve both transactional and analytical needs. In practice, its analytical performance became unsustainable, especially as the data volume grew. Queries involving large datasets (such as 4 million responses) could take up to 5 minutes to execute, making a data-driven operation unfeasible.
Additionally, without an in-house data engineer, the entire analytics infrastructure relied on a single person — who received dozens of manual spreadsheets from different departments (CRM, finance, customer success, etc.), severely affecting the reliability and productivity of the dashboards.
The Solution with Erathos
With the implementation of the Erathos platform, Jovens Gênios migrated its analytics pipeline to BigQuery — using Erathos as a bridge between Neo4j and the data warehouse. This reduced query response times from 5 minutes to just 2 seconds (or even milliseconds, with optimization).
Using Erathos’ ready-to-use connectors, they integrated data sources such as:
The entire ingestion process became automated, enabling dashboards to update without the need for spreadsheets.
Results
Saved up to 20 analyst hours per week (half of the responsible person’s working time).
Established data analysis rituals with weekly meetings based on automatically updated dashboards.
Shareable dashboards for investors with always-reliable data.
At least 3x cost savings compared to hiring an internal data team (estimate: R$17,000/month vs. R$2,999 for Erathos).
Guaranteed scalability: in the first months of 2025, they processed over 1.3 billion Neo4j rows with full stability.
